Hello, thank you for visiting my website today.
If you come directly to this page, welcome again.
I live in Brooklyn, New York, and I'm a dog mom. The Met Cloister has been my favorite corner of the city.
I'm currently a Senior Product Designer at Blockdaemon, designing the user experience for bridging the Web2 world and Web3 world. Prior to designing digital products, I studied architecture and worked as an architectural designer where I built "physical products" with the construction engineering team.
Over the past five years working at startups regardless it was big or small, I've come to learn a few things that define what success looks like for me:
Not a single person can build the product by themselves. It must be a team effort. I enjoy my day-to-day work, such as talking to engineers to discuss the design and possibilities, working with the product managers to shape the user stories, and the marketing team and customer support team to understand the market better (especially in Web3, everything can change on an hourly basis.)
A product may be about to launch. But no matter how close it is, with or without its launches at the end, you should still be proud of what you've accomplished, and what more important is - the takeaway from this journey.
There's no "user or customers", but "people". Who are they? A buyer? A borrower? A lender? A teacher? Identify their roles, and the story will reveal by itself.
and a lot more…
I came across an article about the quality of products & design, written by Paul Stamatiou the other day. I agree with almost everything he wrote in the article. I will continue to help build useful, high-quality products that improve people's life in my present and future journey.
I'm excited about the new technology and all the innovation. Let's talk if you have something in your mind. Happy to explore opportunities with you, whoever reads till this part of About me.
Cheers,
Rachel Chao
